Words It was another alleluia Sunday as we saw Ashlee Dawson receive Christ as her Lord and Savior! I want to remind you about the prayer retreat September 18-20. I would encourage you to sign up for a very relaxing laid back weekend at the Rock Lane Resort in Branson south of Silver Dollar City on the lake. The price of a room per night is $54.49 including tax, which is a real deal. We will have some informal prayer sessions and discussions and there will be plenty of personal time for you to take in a duck ride or something of your choice, drive around, eat ice cream, and enjoy the cool September weather. You need to sign the sheet in the foyer and then follow the directions on the flyer to make your reservations personally. Don’t forget to sign
the new sign up sheet for the Wednesday night supper reservations
if you want to be a permanent Wednesday night attender. As you know,
we are revamping the Wednesday supper some. The cost is $4 per person
and $10 per family. We ask if you cannot attend, please call us
by Tuesday so the kitchen committee can purchase the right amount
of food and if you invite someone, make sure they plan to come and
notify the office. If you don’t notify us that you cannot
attend, we ask you would honor your commitment and pay your $4 because
that food has been prepared for you. See you Sunday. * * *

Sunday School News Please pray that our Sunday school will be successful in teaching Christians more about God’s Word and His will in our lives. Please also pray for our F.A.I.T.H. outreach as it strives to win souls to Christ and to get people involved in our church and our Sunday school. In fact, for a limited time only, we are accepting free memberships for our Sunday school prayer group. Alright, it’s always free, but I thought that statement might inspire more people to sign up for this prayer group. After all, it seems that everyone is looking for something free. I know that we all face difficult trials and situations at times. If you are presently in such a situation, I hope that you can find some inspiration from the following Scripture: “Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me; O Lord be my help. You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever.” Psalm 30:10-12
